Cookie notice
Last updated 18 July 2026
Short version: we set no cookies at all, and nothing is stored in your browser unless you press play on a video tour.
What we use today
Nothing of our own. No analytics cookies, no marketing cookies, no tracking pixels. That’s why there’s no cookie banner on arrival: browse the whole site and there is genuinely nothing to consent to. We’d rather you spent that click on the photos.
Third-party requests
Three things on this site talk to other servers:
- Maps. The location maps load their map imagery from OpenStreetMap. Like any image request, that shares your IP address with OpenStreetMap’s servers, but no cookies are set and we get no tracking data from it.
- Forms. When you submit an enquiry it’s processed by Netlify, the platform that hosts this site. What happens to that data is covered in the privacy notice.
- Video tours. Some houses have a full walking tour hosted on YouTube. Nothing loads from YouTube until you actually press play — until then the page contains no YouTube code, makes no request to them, and they have no idea you’re here. The short silent preview clip that plays on the page itself is served by us, not YouTube.
Fonts are self-hosted, so no font provider sees your visit either.
If you play a video tour
Pressing play loads the video from YouTube’s privacy-enhanced player
(youtube-nocookie.com), which is the most private embed Google offers. It
doesn’t set advertising cookies, but Google may store something in your
browser to handle playback, and they will see your IP address and which video
you watched.
That’s entirely your choice: nothing loads until you press play, and if you never do, YouTube is never contacted. Google’s own explanation is in their privacy policy.
If this ever changes
If we add analytics, advertising, or anything else that tracks you, we’ll list it here plainly and add a consent banner before any such cookie is set.
